You can also reach us from inside the app — Gallery → Settings → Contact Support. That pre-fills your app and iOS version, which makes bugs much faster to track down. If you're writing by email instead, including those helps just as much.
Common questions
The in-app gallery is missing some of my shots
The gallery reads a Photos album named "(d)Effect". If you granted Limited photo access, iOS only shows the app the photos you specifically selected, so the album can look incomplete. Fix it in Settings → Apps → (d)Effect → Photos → Full Access.
My videos have no sound
Microphone permission is requested the first time you record, and declining it produces a silent video. Enable it in Settings → Apps → (d)Effect → Microphone. Photos never use the microphone.
The preview slows down or looks blown out
That's Slow Shutter working as intended. It's a real exposure change on the camera, not an effect layered on top — a long exposure genuinely can't refresh many times per second, and in bright daylight it will overexpose once the sensor hits its minimum sensitivity. Lower the Slow Shutter slider, or set it to zero to return to automatic exposure.
A deleted photo came back / deleting removes it everywhere
Deleting from the in-app gallery deletes the real photo from your Photos library, because that's where it lives — the app keeps no separate copy. It goes to your Recently Deleted album like anything else.
How do I delete my account?
Gallery → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and the email attached to it. It does not remove photos or videos, since those were only ever stored on your device.
Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is processed on your iPhone and saved to your own Photos library. There's no cloud gallery and no server-side processing. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Reporting a bug
The most useful report includes: what you did, what you expected, what happened instead, which filters were switched on, and your app and iOS versions. A screen recording is worth a lot when the problem is visual.
